Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, couldn’t help himself from tripping over at Wembley before England’s Nations League defeat to Spain.
Mourinho was strolling into Club Wembley to take his position for the match when he slipped over on the concrete. The Special One dropped to the ground and had a sheepish look on his face as he clambered back up in front of the stunned crowd.
Football fans were quick to react to the incident on Twitter, with one comparing Mourinho to former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Recalling the time Wenger slipped over at an airport, they wrote: “He’s looking more like Wenger every day.” However, at least Mourinho can take comfort from the fact that Luke Shaw has been given the all-clear after a head injury scare.
Shaw had to be taken off on a stretcher after receiving oxygen on the field after hitting his head on the ground, but has since tweeted that he is OK and should be available for Manchester United’s next game.
England played their first competitive match since the World Cup in front of 81,000 fans on Saturday night and lost 1-2.
