A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has defeated Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at ward C, Alausa, Ikeja, on Tuesday, October 2.
Cable news reports that Olanrewaju Yahaya, the electoral officer in charge of the ward, announced that Sanwo-Olu polled 960 votes ahead of the governor who secured just four votes.

Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the party, is a registered APC member in ward C.
Tinubu had not visited the ward as of the time this report was filed.
Meanwhile, Tewaconcept.blogspot.com had earlier reported that security operatives take over major positions in Lagos state where the primary elections are to hold.
At the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agbado Oke-Odo local council development authority, heavily armed security men were positioned as members turned out to vote between Ambode and Sanwo-Olu.
Reports say as early as 7am, members of the party had trooped into the Ekoro road area of the LCDA.
